Carmelo Anthony showed everyone that he’s still got it by scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. Damian Lillard also contributed by finishing the night with 30 points. For the 76ers, the star duo of Embiid and Simmons played extremely well and the Australian was only one assist away from a triple-double – 23 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds in the 118-114 loss.
Another marvelous performance from Stephen Curry, who is making a case for MVP this year. The Warriors guard scored 40 points in last night’s victory over the Orlando Magic. Number 30 has now scored over 130 three-pointers since the beginning of the season, including 10 last night, while no other NBA player has passed the 100 mark as of yet.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for a total of 8 field goals out of 27 attempts, however, despite their off night, the Celtics still managed to win over the Toronto Raptors. Rookie Payton Pritchard came off the bench and delivered a great performance, scoring 20 points and grabbing 5 rebounds, thus showing everyone, he can deliver in the big man’s game.
The Miami Heat defeated the Houston rockets with 101 to 94. The man of the game was none other than Jimmy Butler, who ended his night with a triple-double – 27 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. Ever since his return from injury, the shooting guard has averaged 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.
