The Washington Wizards defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 127-124 in overtime. The Lakers have lost four out of their last five games and it looks like they’re losing their way without Anthony Davis in the squad.
On the other hand, the Wizards have won their last five games and they did it against some tough competition. During their streak, they defeated the Celtics, Rockets, Nuggets, Trail Blazers, and now the Lakers. And all of that, thanks largely to the return of Russel Westbrook.
In his last five matches, Brodie has averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists. Yesterday, against the Lakers he displayed another dominant performance finishing the night with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Bradley Beal continues to be excellent for the Wizards and if the duo continues their form, there is a possibility we see the team from Washington in the playoffs.
As the Lakers begin to struggle trade rumors arise. Quinn Cook is set to be waived from the team, while the news is emerging that the team from LA will persuade DeMarcus Cousins to join them.
The Jazz return to victory
After winning 9 games in a row (again), the Utah Jazz recently lost to the Los Angeles Clippers. Last night, however, they returned to the road of victory with a great performance against the Charlotte Hornets.
Donovan Mitchell put on a show for the home team, scoring 23 points and getting 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Rudy Gobert was also dominant on the defensive end with 12 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Booker shines as Suns win
The Phoenix Suns blew out the Portland Trail Blazers 132 to 100 after a dazzling performance from Devin Booker. The guard put up 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting 70% from the field. His dominant game helped his team overcome a Trail Blazers teams that had won six out of their last seven games.
