Taylor Swift returned to the Grammy’s red carpet after winning the album of the year to accept her award while expertly hiding a tear in her custom Oscar de la Renta outfit. She also tweeted.
Every star has a clothing malfunction now and then, whether at a high-profile event like Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ presence at the Cannes Film Festival or a TV appearance Khloé Kardashian’s latest last-minute style switch-up before The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
On the other hand, she “shook hers off” so expertly at the 2021 Grammy Awards that we almost missed her red-carpet outfit mishap.
Taylor Swift dressed in an ethereal long-sleeve custom Oscar de la Renta mini dress fully coated in different styles of flower appliqués. She was up for six nominations this year and took home a big award for album of the year.
The garment, which was embroidered with “tacked on separately” pressed flowers, was so “Delicate” that a seam tore beneath her right arm at some point in the night.
As Taylor Swift returned to the red carpet to accept her award for her work on Folklore, a cutout of herself could be seen holding up her trophy. Yet, like the consummate professional that she is, she posed for the cameras and “Forgot That It Happened.”
The tear seems to have happened during Swift’s great win, but it’s likely the rip occurred when she was partying onstage with partners Laura Sisk, Jack Antonoff, Jonathan Low, and Aaron Dessner.
She Had A Marvelous Time at the 2021 Grammys
Swift posted on Instagram that she had “a marvelous time,” posting adorable behind-the-scenes images during the night, regardless of whether or how the malfunction occurred.
Swift’s Folklore fairytale dress was designed exclusively for her, but it was previously included in the brand’s Spring 2021 line and is now sold for $8,990 at modaoperandi.com. She was looking great as were other actresses.
The singer accessorized her Grammys wardrobe with a matching face mask, baby pink Christian Louboutin heels, and Cathy Waterman necklace and retained her trademark romantic aesthetic during the night as she performed a medley of “Cardigan,” “August,” and “Willow” on the Grammys stage in ultra-romantic looks.
She performed “Cardigan” in a shiny blue and silver custom Etro gown with a Cathy Waterman hairpiece, then changed into a full-length golden-and-midnight blue flower print gown with album collaborators Dessner and Antonoff for “August.”
Swift was nominated at the Grammys for album of the year and best pop vocal album for Folklore and album of the year. “Cardigan,” the album’s lead track, was also nominated for song of the year and best pop solo performance awards. She was nominated for “Exile” in the best pop duo/group category and “Beautiful Ghosts” in the best song written category for a visual media category for her collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber on Cats.
Taylor Swift Reunites with Harry Styles
Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were also reunited, and fans could read their secret conversation from their mouths.
Swift and Styles were dating during 2012 and 2013, were spotted engaging at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, March 14, where both artists were awarded. Swift and Styles were seen conversing at the Grammys when the live stream was turned off in a video shared by the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel. Since the two aren’t mic’d, it’s tough to understand what they’re doing, but people claim they can lip-read their conversation just by seeing the footage.
“I can almost hear Harry saying at the end, ‘Well, it was good to see you Taylor!’ another user tweeted, “‘and hey Joe, nice to see you’ omfg I love them so much it hurts,” referring to Swift’s longtime boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. “‘Well, it was wonderful to see you!” “Imagine seeing this kind of influence on Harry,” a user wrote on Twitter.
Swift and Styles both appeared at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, and both took home awards.
Swift and Styles “have been cordial and good for a long time now,” a source told Entertainment Tonight on Monday, March 15. “[Taylor and Harry] have both developed and matured after they dated and admired each other’s careers,” the source added. Swift and Alwyn are both “very happy together” and in love, according to the source. “Taylor is so grateful to have Joe in her life,” the source explained.
Swift’s “Style” and “Out of the Woods,” both from her 2015 album 1989, are said to have been influenced by Styles. Swift has influenced Styles’ song “Two Ghosts” from his debut album, which was released in 2017.
Styles spoke out about what it was like for Swift to write a song about him in an interview with Howard Stern in 2020. “I think about what it means to me to write a song about someone else, and for someone else to do so, it’s flattering because even though the song isn’t that flattering, you have spent hours on it because, in the end, taking Taylor as an example, she’s a fantastic songwriter. So, at the very least, they’re decent songs,” he said. “The only way you ever say, ‘Is this song too personal?’ is when you remember, ‘Is this going to be irritating for the other person?'” he added. I [care] because I am a loving person.”
It was good to see that the stars have matured now. They both respect each other. And at the Grammys, both won awards. However, some people still criticized them. No matter if you are a simple person, you would still have haters.
