Addison Rae announced her relationship status in response to rumors that she is dating Jack Harlow, a 23-year-old rapper and singer.
Addison Rae didn’t keep people confused about whether or not she’s dating rapper Jack Harlow, 23 years old. On April 19, the 20-year-old TikTok star took to Twitter to clarify her relationship status with a single message: “I’m single.” As a result, the dating speculation is just that: speculation.
Addison And Jack’s Attendance In The Boxing Match Caused The Rumors
The rumors circulated after Addison and Jack attended a boxing match in Atlanta on April 17 between Jake Paul and Ben Askren. Many celebrities attended the gathering, including Pete Davidson, who was photographed with Jack in a picture. Fans found a hand with red nails leaning against Jack in this photo and assumed it belonged to Addison!
Like the hand in Jack’s picture, Addison had a red manicure in an Instagram post she posted the day before the boxing match. In this Instagram post, the gossip account @tiktokroom posted these images side by side, along with another piece of alleged evidence: “She was w him the whole time…,” a fan who witnessed Addison’s behavior at the match wrote in D.M.s. “She liked his recent post under a minute…and she followed his best friend.”
A day after the boxing match, a few tweets from Addison’s 21-year-old ex, Bryce Hall, helped to lift a few eyebrows. On April 18, the TikTok star tweeted, “I’m about to explode, man.” The next day, he resumed his enigmatic tweets with two messages that read, “I feel like such an idiot… “Bad days just get worse.”
Now that Addison has released a song, it’s no wonder that fans are tying the “Obsessed” singer to new love interests. Her breakup with Bryce was first revealed on March 23.
“She thinks that he has a lot of growing up to do and that he brings so much drama into her life,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. They’re so on-again, off-again, so don’t be surprised if they reunite at some point.” Two days later, Bryce announced the breakup news in a YouTube video titled “we broke up.,” in which he also refuted the claims that he had cheated on Addison.
Addison Rae Earlier Revealed That She Only Had One Like Before She Went Viral
Addison Rae’s TikTok success came as a total surprise to her.
The multi-hyphenate opens up about her sudden rise on the social media site in PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of her presence on the Emergency Contact podcast. Rae, who joined TikTok in 2019, admits she was reluctant to participate in the development of TikToks at first.
The 20-year-old admits to podcast co-hosts Simon Huck and Melissa Gray Washington that she wasn’t initially a fan of TikTok.
“It would be sophomores or freshmen doing it, and I’d be like, ‘Eh, Well.’ I wasn’t interested because I was about to graduate and was preoccupied with other matters, “Rae explains.
The “Obsessed” singer continues, “I remember one of my younger friends, she was like, ‘Oh, be in these TikToks with me.’ Right now, the video [still] remains on the internet. Since I was like, ‘I don’t know what this is,’ I’m doing the craziest dance moves in it. [People] have recently switched from Musical.ly to TikTok. People in high school were now beginning to understand it. The older crowd was beginning to understand what was going on.”
On the other hand, Rae had a change of heart while on a family holiday. Her first-ever TikTok featuring her father, Monty Lopez, was posted — and then deleted.
“‘You know, let me try this out,’ I said. I believe I am capable of completing this mission. ‘Let me give it a shot.’ But when I first opened the app, I had no idea what I was doing.”
Addison Rae First Decided That She Would Not Post In This App
She continues, “‘Ah, I guess this isn’t for me,’ I thought. So I deleted the video and told myself, “Well, I’m not going to post in this app because I have no idea what I’m doing.”
Her performance on TikTok “shows me that this app is bigger than I thought it was,” the social media influencer added.
Rae has accrued over 79 million followers on the famous app since then. She’s used her popularity to achieve other career goals, such as launching Item Beauty, a clean beauty line. She launched a popular YouTube channel and started co-hosting Mama Knows Best, a podcast with her mother. She’s not only gearing up for her film debut in the upcoming She’s All That reboot, but she also released her first-ever album, “Obsessed,” and its accompanying music video last month.
According to Forbes, Rae is TikTok’s highest earner, having amassed an incredible $5 million via the app in just one year.
Rae has also stated that “staying mentally stable” is something she is proud of, in addition to her many career accomplishments.
“There have been so many moments when I’ve said, ‘This is a lot, maybe it’s mentally exhausting,’ and then wanted to give up,” she said in the February 2021 issue of Glamour U.K. “But then I remember how I got here and that I should use every chance I can to achieve everything I’ve ever wanted.”
