Selena Gomez is expected to star in an upcoming thriller that will be executive produced by Drake, and fans want the singers to collaborate on a song as well!
Selena Gomez’s acting career is at an all-time high! The singer of “Love You Like A Love Song” is set to star in several films and television shows, including a new thriller Drake will produce. According to Deadline, the former Disney Channel actress will appear in Petra Collins’ psychological thriller Spiral. Future the Prince, aka Adel Nur, the rapper behind “God’s Plan,” is also on board to produce alongside his Euphoria co-producer. The film will follow a social media influencer whose body is physically falling apart due to her addiction to the platform.
Following the announcement, fans of the two A-listers were ecstatic about the sudden collaboration. “Drake x Selena?? One fan tweeted, “The best collab,” while another said, “Let’s hope a duet is next.” It follows Selena’s most recent acting film, Only Murders in the Building, scheduled to premiere on Hulu. Aaron Dominguez also appears on the show, and Selena recently had to reiterate that the two are not romantically involved.
Constant Media Coverage Has Made Dating Difficult For The American Singer
Selena Gomez opened up about how the constant media coverage and scrutiny of her love life has made it almost difficult for her to date when asked about it by the Los Angeles Times. “We had just recently begun to collaborate. ‘No wonder guys don’t want to date me!’ I honestly thought. “I believe people are only interested in me because I am young,” she speculated.
Selena added, “And the older I get, the less they’ll listen.” “For the time being, it’s a part of my work that I don’t enjoy. I’m relieved that I’m not in a relationship right now.” The two will play love interests in the upcoming series, and PDA images of them in character almost broke the internet. During an Instagram Live session in February, Selena confirmed she and Aaron are just friends and gave fans an idea of what to expect from the show. “It’s a lot of fun watching the show. It’s a dramedy, so some moments are realistic and others that are completely chaotic and hilarious.”
Selena Gomez Recently Shared Her First Glam Blonde Photo On Instagram, And It Got More Than 7.6M Likes
According to Rare Beauty’s Instagram, Selena Gomez went blonde last week, but she just shared the first photo of herself with lighter hair on her account last night. Gomez didn’t take a simple selfie. Her first photo, taken by makeup artist Hung Vanngo, showed her looking stunning.
Back in February, Gomez teased that she was considering going blonde again. During an Instagram Live Q&A, she read, “Will you ever go back to blonde?” and nodded. “A hundred percent.”
She also discussed her skincare routine and whether she and Rare Beauty planned to enter the skincare industry soon.
“All I do is keep things pretty easy with my skincare routine,” she said. “I wash my face with La Mer and then apply lotion. My favorite product is the luminizer, so I use it in conjunction with the primer. I’m pleased with my primer. I promise you, if you just wear my primer, that’s pretty much all you’ll need.”
“[I] don’t know,” Gomez said when asked whether Rare Beauty would do skincare. Here’s why: I have a lot of respect for how people have their skincare product routines, but I’d never claim to know everything there is to know about skin and what’s best for you. So I’m just going to say that it’s different for each person. I’m not sure if Rare can do that, but I’m curious about what works for others. That’s a challenge. That’s much more difficult than applying makeup.”
The Star Is Also Launching A Mental Health Initiative To ‘Empower Young People’
Selena Gomez has announced the launch of a mental health initiative.
On Thursday (04.29.21), the 28-year-old singer announced the launch of Mental Health 101, a campaign she’s launching alongside her Rare Beauty makeup line to help people “get linked to the services they need” to improve their mental health.
“Today, I’m so grateful that we get to launch Mental Health 101,” Selena said in a message posted to the social media site. Because of my own experiences with mental health, I am extremely passionate about this campaign. I know firsthand how frightening and lonely it can be to deal with anxiety and depression alone when you’re young. My journey might have been very different if I had known about my mental health earlier in life – if I had been taught about it in school the same way I was taught about other subjects.”
“The world needs to understand that mental health is important. It’s just as critical as your physical health, and I wish we could all recognize that, not just with words but with deeds.”
Even though the diagnosis was frightening to accept, the singer of “Lose You To Love Me” maintained that learning more about the disease helped her cope.
