After a long time of various rumors and wishes, the Friends renuion is finally coming true! There is no one who didn’t like the series, who didn’t laugh and cry with their crazy situations. We all agreed with their story and this news made the whole world happy!
The cast was set to gather for a special on HBO’s streaming service, HBO Max, to honor the iconic sitcom’s 25th anniversary. Walking back onto Stage 24 at Warner Bros. Studios, the former castmates of Friends – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer – were amazed at how much everything remained the same after 17 years. Nothing has changed except themselves.
This will be the first time that the whole crew is together again on set, since the last episode that made us all cry. The special is filmed on Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, the same place where this sitcom was filmed before.
They can’t wait
Cox said, “We’re going to have the best time. It’s going to be great. We haven’t all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had.” LeBlanc shared his reaction to the reunion series, “It’s more like the six of us together talking about the good old days.”
The actors said that nothing was staged, but represented by six of them talking about the series. “I won’t be Rachel, although I kind of am. Well, we’re all sort of little fragments of them. Not really,” Jennifer said.
They were on a break – but a break ends on May 27th
Officially The Friends reunion, called “The One Where They Get Back Together,” begins streaming on HBO Max on Thursday, May 27. The official trailer shows the cast reuniting in the original studio, testing their knowledge of the series, re-reading their lines and they are joined by James Corden with whom to have an interview in front of the live audience.
What is important to mention is that the main actors will return to the set, will have surprises, and share footage behind the scenes, but they will not be like the characters from the series, but as themselves.
HBO Max explained, “Lastly, in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters.”
Whichever way we turn, we are all overjoyed to see this iconic cast together again!
